I have dreams of doing helicopter spins in my extra large walk-in pantry. For now, I am left maximizing every inch of space I have in my cabinets. Upper cabinets, especially the top shelves provide quite the challenge. For me, the top shelves have been useless without a step stool. And even then, the access was clunky. And since I am limited on space (and patience) that was not okay. I researched LOTS of solutions. The problem was that they were all very expensive or required some sort handyman-demo action that I was not up for. I have been using these clear storage spinners all over my house in various spaces and they have been game changers. It finally dawned on me to just a bigger one without the edges. DUH. And it only cost me $59.
Read MoreI do love to organize, but I am not a minimalist. Not by a long shot. I love having the right thing for the right occasion and I’m a product junkie. Have you seen my Instagram account? I admire true minimalists, but I am simply not wired that way. That said, I do a decent job of managing my “crap”. My desire to have a de-cluttered living space is what drives me to stay on top of it. You’d think someone who was a natural minimalist would be better served to write a blog post on purging. Lol. Hear me out. A person (me) who is not naturally inclined offers credibility because I understand the land mines that can sabotage a good purge sesh.

We bought some time with a crib tent which was amazing and I HIGHLY recommend if you want to keep the crib but you’ve got a baby ninja on your hands. When he was almost three, he was potty trained and my lower back was on fire from taking him in and out of the crib so we opted for the big boy bed. Luckily, it worked out. Sources for as many things (or very similar) are linked below!
Read MoreThrow blankets bring it all together. A couch, a bed, a chair, bench, a ladder, in a basket…. should I keep going? Like many accessories, they can be very expensive. What’s funny, is that the most cozy and most utilized blankets in our house have been more affordable ones. Thank you very much, Target. Their throw blanket game has had some recent additions that are worth taking a look. And per usual, very affordable. So many of their best finds are not available in the store. Why do they keep this all a secret? I got you.
Read MoreSerena and Lily is definitely a splurge place for me when it comes to home decor. But I think they have some timeless pieces that are worth the investment if you fall in love and definitely, definitely shop on sale. Their friends and family event makes it easy because EVERYTHING is 20% off using the code GUESTPREP. Here are a couple of my favorite picks by category.
Read MoreThe end of our hallway was fine. But boring. It has a basic lower cabinet and was just kinda blahhhhh. It served as a place where I put the kids laundry. So I decided to just swap, add and remove a couple things to make it look a wee bit more finished. And I also had one major issue…

Our first date was in the laundry room. You know what they say, you never know when you are going to meet “the one”.
