Serena & Lily Sale Picks

Serena and Lily is definitely a splurge place for me when it comes to home decor. But I think they have some timeless pieces that are worth the investment if you fall in love and definitely, definitely shop on sale. Their friends and family event makes it easy because EVERYTHING is 20% off using the code GUESTPREP. Here are a couple of my favorite picks by category.

Let’s start in the bedroom. Confession, our bedroom does not get a lot of investment pieces because NO ONE sees it. SO it ends up getting a lot of more inexpensive pieces or hand-me downs from the rest of the house. That being said, there are pieces that I have been eyeing, for when I am ready for some big girl pieces. I love the Broderick bed because its super tall and definitely a classic. If I am gonna pay for a nice bed, I want to be able to see it after I put all 53 pillows on it :)

S&L has some great dining pieces, both indoor and outdoor. I treat this bar cart more like a console/mantle and less like bar cart, but I reserve the right to change my mind. This piece can go literally anywhere. We use it in open transitional space, but it could work in a dining room, a bathroom or bedroom. That’s a hardworking piece. Same goes for the gilded lamp, it could be used in any room of the house.

We have the feather print wallpaper in our dining room, which is not a likely spot. It has been several years and I still love it. It’s a subtle print that doesn’t overwhelm you, yet makes the room just a little more interesting. It’s also a room that does not get the best natural light, so I needed something that would not darken it even more. We had leftover wallpaper from this project and I put it in my master bedroom closet. Is that decor taboo? Not sure, but it’s workin’ for me.

For the bathroom, I picked a couple new pieces and several of their classics. Everything they make is so fresh and so clean, clean (name that song… anyone?). They could also transition from room to room. Except the bath towels. Those should stay in the bathroom. But I do think they are a great value (especially on sale). I’m also pretty jazzy on their new brass wall sconce. That could go in any room in the house and is very reasonably priced (which lighting, typically, is NOT).

Well, I hope your Saturday morning coffee and sale perusing was made a bit easier. Be sure to use the code GUESTPREP at check for the 20% off. Do share what you scored below. Thanks again for following along!

Ps… To shop this picture, see below. Notes: I linked a similar basket- mine was from a local consignment store. The flowers are a mix of dried plants from a nursery and fakes ones from Michael’s).
