Looks Like It's Go Time for Home Self Care
Well, here we are…. stuck in our houses. I’m grateful to be one of the lucky ones that is afforded that luxury right now. Home and healthy are two glorious words that not everyone can claim. That said, I thought I’d share some of my favorite go-to self care items that I have on repeat with my recent sentence to home jail.
All the images below are clickable images with direct links. Stay healthy everyone!
Ugg Boots- l trade off between two pairs of slippers. Uggs and other slip ons for when my toes need to breath. Nordstrom’s is having a 25% sale so its a good time to snag a pair. They last for YEARS.
Ice Roller- De-puff your face (and your mind). Don’t knock til you try it.
Hydrating face masks- these are an inexpensive pack of masks that you can use once of week for a nice little zen with a dose of hydration. Pamper yourself on the cheap.
Echo with Alexa- this thing is the brain of our house. We talk to it. We dance to it. We read it. It reads to us. It tells us jokes. It tells us the news (if we want it). It teaches me how to cook. It makes my grocery list. True story.
Diffuser- I have several of these pumping through out the house and in bedrooms at night. Staying healthy is the name of the game. I use have a couple of these sprinkled throughout the house.
Oscillococcinum- Can I buy a vowel? I grew up taking this stuff. I truly believe it helps shorten and mitigate flu-like symptoms, which is kinda a THING right now? Uhhhem.
Barefoot Dreams blanket- I got my first one many many years ago. It’s just as soft as the day I got it. Maybe softer. It’s also a part of the 25% Nordstrom sale and great time to make the investment if you were looking.
Nespresso machine- I’ve been in a love affair with my latte maker for a long time, so for me, it’s business as usual. Now is the best time ever, to ditch the Starbucks habit and get yo’self a home brew. It pays for itself VERY quickly. I did the math.
Large Diffuser- I have several diffusers. I like this as a big room option. It has a continuous run option and holds a lot more water than most traditional diffusers. The air in our house is now being shared by 5 people around the clock. I love the idea of keeping our air clean and the essential oils pumping.
Humidifier- This is a household staple in quarantine or not in quarantine, in sickness and in health. This is my all time favorite. Its big so you don’t have to refill every night. It has an essential oil tray. It’s quiet. And it’s easy to clean. It works in big and small rooms.
Humidifier Filter Fish- throw one of these puppies in your humidifier to fight bacteria and other unwelcome things.
Jogger-Legging Hybrids- I have two colors of in these. I love that they come in different lengths for all heights and the pockets are a ‘YAS please’.
Deep Kneeding Neck Massager. OMG. The best $36 purchase of 2020 that will likely hold that position thru year end. I am professional massager RECEIVER. It’s good guys. It feels like a human. Which is part awesome, part creepy. But great de-stresser at the end of a high anxiety day in captivity. It feels like it should cost MUCH MORE.
Barefoot Dreams Cardigan- I like this feels like a robe but looks like a cardigan. A ‘cardirobe’. You heard it here first. It’s definitely quarantine chic. And on sale 25% right now.
Calm Magnesium Supplement- I have been drinking this on and off for a while now. It’s a magnesium supplement. I’m not a doctor and never will be, so do your own research. But it does provide a nice little sense of calm/stress relief before bed. Read the label. You need to start slow and work your way up.
These are uncertain times and anxiety levels are at an all time high. Staying healthy and calm is mission number one. These help me do that on the daily and hopefully one or two may help you too. That and some humor. I’m so thankful to have this platform and the technology to stay connected you with you all. Stay home and stay healthy everyone!
