Amazon Lately

Let me start by saying this first blouse is not even from Amazon. That’s how credible of a blogger I am. Somewhere along the road, I had mentally decided it was from Amazon. In reality, it came from one of those Instagram ads, WHICH, in my mind, means ‘a complete roll of the dice’. This is what I associate with Amazon fashion buys. Does that brain connection (or lack thereof) make sense to anyone? Uhhhhhhhh. And one more confession, I had this shirt altered. I know, I know…HEAR ME OUT. The blouse came and I LOVED it except for one thing. The wrist gathering was too baggy. I was all set to return it when I thought to ask my tailor how much it would cost to make them tighter. It was $14. The blouse cost $25. So did I love it with its new $39 price tag? The answer was YES. I have tiny wrists and I knew I wanted to wear it pushed up on my forearms. If these factors do not apply to you, then this may not be an issue. Anyway, I’m very happy with this purchase now. It’s a tiny bit sheer, but with a black bra, it’s barely noticeable and I like the look. You could easily throw on a black cami if that’s not your jam. (I’m wearing a small which is TTS). Wow, that was a rough start to this post. I was going to either omit this blouse altogether, or put it at the end, but I wanted to see who my fair-weather friends were :) Hopefully it’s smooth sailing from here. Thanks for hangin’ in there.

I get so many compliments on this $16 shirt! This is a small and it’s a tiny snug but it fits. I’d still say true to size because small is what I normally wear, but if you are a tweener, I’d go up one. I wear this out to dinner, to work or brunch. It is an eyelet (a.k.a there are holes in it, but with a nude bra you are good to go.)

I still haven’t learned that black clothing is really hard to photograph. Every detail gets lost, except for the dust bunnies on your mirror. FAIL. (see the model below for a front angle). Moving on, this top is $25 and is a great basic for any season. A couple reasons I like this one: It has a 3/4 bell sleeve that is really flattering. It has a tie bottom in the front with a decent amount of length. NO BELLY shirts here! It also has t-shirt hem in the back so you can wear it untucked or tucked. I prefer UN. That was a lot of things to like about a $25 shirt. TTS.

It is in the 80’s here so the only chance I’ve had to wear this jacket is when our AC is pumping. I can’t tell you what the fabric is because it’s another Amazon-tag-less wonder. Something in the fleece family. But I can say that it is VERY soft and VERY warm. It’s also reversible with pockets on both sides. I’m wearing a small. Tip: I didn’t really give this jacket the nod until I realized how much better it looked with the hood showing the reverse color. Funny how one little change can make or break something. $39.

With every fashion blogger (and non-fashion blogger) talking about these LuLu dupes, I felt it was my duty to buy these Amazon leggings that everyone is talking about. I will say they feel really nice. The material feels, kinda like, a super thin wet suit. These are a deep olive which is hard to see here. They come in a bazillion colors. I’ve only washed these a couple times so I am not sure what the long term play is here but they were only $26 so I am not overly worried about it. I’m wearing a 4/6 size which is TTS for leggings for me. Now, I just need to start working out again.

I’ve also included a few other Amazon fashion finds that I have put in the ‘yes’ column (shockingly, this includes a bathing suit that I wore several times this summer for $26) And trust me, there is a NO column. Shop my winners below. Thanks for following along!
