Target Tuesday: Quick and Dirty

If you are looking for polished, high-end fashion blogging this is NOT the post for you. If you want to see a few things I scored at Target last Tuesday while wearing flip flops and my two year old in tow…then I this is a better match.

First up is this feminine floral dress from A New Day. This is a great transitional piece that and can be worn with sandals in the spring/summer or with a boots in the fall/winter. I already have plans to wear this to baby shower this month, a friend’s birthday dinner-party in October, and Thanksgiving in November. For some reason, I like to give myself concrete places I’d wear something to justify my purchase. Anyone else do that? I’ve caught myself buying things because it looks pretty, but I have NO where to wear it. For $39, I’m already happy with my busy plans for this number. And did I mention, it has pockets? Yes please, and thank you. I usually wear a XS or a small and this is an XS. I have a hat similar to this at home, so I wanted to see how it look with a more fall-ish vibe. But I thought this burgundy/brown hat worked really well with it.

My bare legs and feet are not doing anyone any favors in showcasing this rain jacket. This super cute light weight rain jacket comes in a stone color too which was equally cute but they did not have an XS in store which is what I’m wearing. This color is called Colorado Rust. It’s kinda hard to see but there is a slight sheen to this jacket that gives it a chic look. The tie waist gives a little shape. The length hits my knee but since I’m 5’10 it might hit a lower on someone shorter. $44.99

We all know my bag fetish. Okay, well maybe not, but I have a bag fetish. This fun floral weekender is just one of the many new bags this fall from Target for $39.99. Meatball approved. The raglan sweatshirt (which is on sale for $15 online) was only available in my stores in size XL which is way too big for me so I ordered small online. Quick and dirty, quick and dirty.

I always have to make a run through the junior department just to make sure there isn’t a little something for this 40-year-old-non-junior. And I usually find one thing or three. This $12 Wild Fable henley is a nice little basic to have. It mimics a body suit, minus the body suit. I also found this cute Happy Mama boxy sweat shirt in the junior section on my way out. My guess is that the Target marketing department is on to the fact that non-juniors shop here too. Duh. Oh, and this faux leather moto jacket from Wild Fable would have made its way in my cart if I didn’t own one JUST like it at home. I thought a crappy impromptu selfie in my cut off jeans was the best way to show you all. Ha.
