Labor Day Sales: Who, What, Where
Labor Day weekend is here and sales are happening everywhere. If you are like me, you find it all overwhelming. Half of me wants nothing to do with it. The other half doesn’t want to miss out on something if there happens to be a killer deal. It’s sale FOMS. In case you are catering to the latter, I put together a list of some of the major sales so you could see at a glance. Sometimes it’s nice to take a lap around the room before you commit to a location. (please comment below if you got that reference) :)

Express: 40% off everything (50% off denim)
Nordstrom: Summer Sale (up to 40% select items)

Lets take a look a three of my favorites that are having substantial discounts: Abercrombie, Serena and Lily and J Crew.
Abercrombie
Almost the entire store is HALF off! Abercrombie is a place I shopped in high school. I hadn’t shopped their in about 25 years. I thought the cologne and loud music was a thing of my past. Until I realized that have some really great clothes at affordable prices! It’s now one of my go-to places for everyday clothes. These tie jeans are so flattering to the waistline and the ties provide a little coverage over the tummy. WIN WIN. I was late to the body suit game and I’m so glad I tried it. If you haven’t jumped on board, Abercrombie has a huge selection of body suits for great prices.
Serena and Lily
Serena and Lily is a splurge place for me. I LOVE their stuff because its so fresh and classic. I know that whatever I get there is usually a worthy investment. That said, I will never pay full price and always wait for their sales. Right now the sale is in their dining collection. We have their bar cart that we use as a console most of the time and only moonlights as an actual bar cart.
The S&L sale includes outdoor dining chairs! Buying outdoor furniture is PAINFUL. Quality pieces are SO expensive. Now is also the best time of year to buy outdoor furniture. With three children, I also believe that many outdoor things can be brought inside, especially when they look this chic.
J Crew
Per usual, J Crew has some classic pieces that are 40% off. Additionally, the sale pieces are ANOTHER 50% off. Use the code SUNSET. I realized after, the graphic tee I’m wearing is not a part of the sale so I linked a similar one that is. The quilted downtown jacket is a staple that was almost sold out in the stores but fully stocked online and comes in tall, petite options. The toothpick jeans I’m wearing are high waisted and super stretchy. They come in multiple lengths online. I probably could have used a tall here. LOL. As always, their tennis shoes are excluded from the sale because they are made by a third party. But I am loving these cream and gold GOLA kicks for $69. But fret not, lots of shoes are on sale. (I apologize for my crappy iPhone pics here, the lighting was terrible and I felt really awkward with customers giving me the side eye as I snapped selfies. Yikes.)
J Crew’s swimsuit game is easily one of my favorites. They have high quality suits that last a LONG time and never go out of style. And their sales make them SO affordable. This weekend they are an additional 50% off. It’s too good to pass up. Really, too good.
