Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Things In My Cart

I didn’t go to the sale, I didn’t have any ambassador access and I did not try anything on. How’s that for credibility? But I do shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale the way most people do, which is sitting on my computer in my yoga pants with a greasy bun on my head. I also realize that many of these things will go back on sale again in the fall so my knickers are not a knot about anything. I’m spying several things and will most likely buy several and then return a couple because that’s how I do it. As you can tell I’m in the market for a rain jacket. I have to try them on and will return all but one of them. After you all help me vote of course :) As I try on and see what’s still in stock, I will try to update throughout the sale. But so far…..here is what’s in my cart:

When it comes to the kids, I RARELY shop at Nordstroms. I’m such a bargain slut, I always feel like I can find something comparable and cheaper somewhere else. They just grow too fast for me to justify the spend. Selfishly, I’d rather save the money for my own non-growing body. However, there is one category I will check out their SALE items and it’s the shoes. They wear them everyday and they can also be passed down to the next child if they are high quality. So I rounded up a few that I think are a good VALUE. All of these are under $30.

UPDATE:

I went to exchange some sizes in the saga to find the perfect rain jacket search. Of course I found one more, that is now my front runner. It’s from Halogen and has no lining so it doesn’t add any unnecessary bulk when chances are, I’ll be wearing a sweater anyway. Bonus: this one is actually waterproof, not just water resistant. Monsoon weather in San Diego can be brutal. uh. Maybe not, but what’s the point of wearing a rain jacket that can only kinda get wet? Tough to tell in this photo but it was a rubbery sheen to it, which I think makes it extra chic.
