Organize Your Bling
I recently did a jewelry organization over-haul and thought I’d share some of my favorite contraptions that helped me do the job. I have learned that if things are hidden and perfectly stored away, I will never wear them. Out of sight, out of mind. The purists would argue that nice jewelry should be covered to protect it. Good news, bad news here, I don’t own anything that valuable, so that makes things easier. Now, if it’s going to be on display, it needs to be pretty and functional. Two things that don’t always go hand in hand.
Let start with this two-tier tray that I use for my earring and bracelets. It also comes in a brass color that was very tempting, but since I have a lot of gold jewelry, I though this was a better back drop.
Some notable mentions in the tray category:
I never knew I needed a necklace tree in my life. I owned a similar one (in concept) but it only had 5 hooks and I was layering all my necklaces on top of each other. WHY WAS I DOING THAT? I had no idea that I didn’t have to wrestle, curse and untangle my necklaces on the daily. Problem solved.
Next up, rings! Simple ring holder here, not much to tell. I use this style for ones that I like to keep from moving around. Great for around the kitchen sink when you are doing dishes too. Yikes.
Other notable mentions in the ring tray category:
Not everything can be put on display- so I keep my countertop ‘real estate’ for stuff I wear the most often. Everything else I put in these stackable jewelry trays or these come in a set of 4 in white synthetic leather.
On the go. There is nothing worse than digging through bag of jewelry when you are on a trip looking for a matching earring or trying to untangle three of your necklaces. For bigger trips, I have been using this travel jewelry bag. It keeps everything secure and separated. It also packs up flat in your suitcase. Win win.
Here are a couple options in a slightly smaller size (most come in several color options):
Now, I just need a trip to go on and maybe some new diamonds. Eh hem. Thanks for checking in and I hope you get your bling on. xo
