Holiday Gift Guide for Kids Ages 4 & Under

IMG_4357.jpeg

The holidays are special. But they ARE really special with littles ones in the house. As a mom of a pair of 9-years and an almost 4-year old, I am desperately holding onto the magic of Christmas. We had a 6- year age gap between the twins and our little Meatball, yet the fan favorite of toys remained mostly the SAME. Why mess with a good thing? Below is a list of our absolute favorites for ages 4 and under.

Age 4 & Under

  1. Picasso Magnatiles- Easily the best staple toy in our house. This particular brand is the best and is going on its 10th year of daily abuse in our house. $53

  2. Pajamas- sneaking one in here for mom. Amazon’s line with Hanna Andersson are so soft a billion washes later and come in loads of boy/girl prints. $17

  3. Pretend School House This is another go-to gift in our house for all the little ladies. My daughter played with hers for years until she had lost each and every last piece. $26

  4. Toy Fire Truck A boy and his truck. $19. (Green BPA free, Phthalates free.)

  5. Lil’ Patrol Motor Bike- This is one of Meatballs favorite toys that makes him feel like a big kid. $39

  6. Stomp Rocket- We keep several of these in our gift closet because they are universally loved by all 2-6 year olds. Perfect birthday/holiday gift for $14

  7. Lil’ Hands Card Holders- We discovered these late with our older two. These allow the little guys to play cards with the big guys. $5

  8. Toy Mat - This toy mat allows you to bring toys with you on the go with EASY clean up $49.

  9. Doctor Kit- A fan favorite in our house going on 9 years now. $23

  10. Balance Bike We did not use a balance bike for our older two and wish we had. Now with number three, it was one of our first toddler purchases. SUCH a difference! $89

  11. Binocluars- These are great for long walks, older siblings sporting events, running errands or any time you need some quiet distraction. Everyone wins. $15

  12. Wooden Tool/Workbench Meatball (our three year old) plays with and takes his tools everywhere. So busy. $42

  13. Kid’s Teepee Play Tent- We have one we fold away and use for rainy days and play dates. Or it’s cute enough to leave out if you have the space. No need to pay a premium at big box retailers. This one is less than $50

  14. Brusheez Toothbrushes- Snappy the alligator save our Battle OF the BRUSH. This brush made brushing exciting and made him feel like a big kid. Lots of different animals to choose from. $19.99

  15. No Leak Straw Sippy Cup- This is ONLY straw toddler cup allowed in our household. IT DOESN”T LEAK and the straw unscrews to allow for easy cleaning. GAME CHANGER in the child drinkware industry. Go ahead and buy two. $8 each

  16. Magic Clay- A NO MESS activity that will score you some FUN mom points. Thats a tough combination. $19.99

  17. Magic Doodle Drawing Mat- Another mess FREE activity for the win. $23

  18. Lil’ Tikes Jumpy House This is another one that is for you just as much as it is for them. Bust this out at your next dinner party and it will entertain the little ones for HOURS. Another investment that pays for itself many times over. $229

  19. Pretend Kitchen- I have two boys and girl and they each played with the toy kitchen equally. It’s amazing to see how much time they spend opening, shutting, prepping and pretending. I like this one, selfishly, because it’s not huge and easy on the eye. $119

  20. Micro Scooter- We tried to cheaper scooters and these are hands down the best starter scooters. Don’t waste your time. $79

  21. Tool Kit- Griffin loves him some tools. He carries them from room to room and loves to help dad in the garage. $25

  22. Paw Patrol- I’m not big on stuffed animals. But I have to shout out this one for my Paw Patrollers out there. $18

  23. Veer Cruiser Stroller/Wagon- This is a splurge item I wish was around when my twins were younger. Now Matt Damon has everyone getting one. This one for you just as much as it is for them. Beach, amusement parks, walks, parks, shopping malls. $599.

  24. Cash Register- The thing has been used and abused for ten years in our house and still going strong. From toddler time to lemonade stands, this is a childhood staple. $34
