Target Strikes Again

She sure did. The jacket category was en FUEGO this week at Target. Faux fur, puffer, sherpa, faux leather… no material left behind here. I really had a hard time not coming home with ALL of these. I mean, I definitely didn’t leave empty handed and I also may have had a bit of non-buyers-remorse, which I made right when I got home. In every jacket, I opted for a medium when I normally wear a small. I like a little room for a coat and I like the length in the arms.

I’m calling this the ‘cozy’ category….. because I had to group them somehow. I consider myself somewhat of a cozy connoisseur. As a lady of leisure, I like to dress the part and Target is affording me this lately. Thank you. The southwestern-inspired sherpa has a balloon sleeve that sealed the deal for me (this is a medium). The grey turtle neck in not online yet, but will be soon and I am wearing an XS as it is slightly oversized. The first two sweatshirts are both on CLEARANCE for under $15. YASSSS. The scarf is large and in charge but I’m loving it. It works double duty as an over-sized scarf and a shawl. And it’s got a reversible color detail that’s always nice. The second sherpa comes in lots of colors, but this burgundy color is very right now (I’m in a size small).

These pajamas are size extra small, which I would not normally take. (I am a small or even a medium when it comes to pajamas). I don’t usually love buying holiday specific clothes but I justified this one like a boss. I’ll wear this as a set this month for Halloween for sure. Beyond October, I will wear them separately and just feel like the everyday edgy mom that I am. In the carpool lane. :)

Sinead O’Connor’s ‘Nothing Compares To You’ was playing when I tried this get-up on in the dressing room. I am not sure why that is relevant other than I had a moment. I also fell for this hat for a couple reasons. It’s a ‘Boater’ style hat which I like because it’s a slight departure from the traditional fedora or panama style hat that we usually see. And it has an offset nail-head detail that gives me the feels. This Prologue top has a stiffer feel to it that gives it structure. The lines of this top feels very fashion-y. It’s a word, I promise.

This faux leather top with the pouf shoulder is so awesome, but they only had a medium and I needed a small. Same with the leopard cardigan. This was a large and I would definitely go small or even XS. The white waffle top is a great basic (I actually wore it INTO the store. LOL). The hat I’m wearing with this poncho is burgundy color with a studded band. This color is in right now and oddly versatile, it goes with browns and blacks. This backpack can be worn three ways. The cross-body strap unzips into a backpack-style or zip it back up and buckle down the strap to be worn as a purse. Pretty SNAZZY.

Wew, that was a LOT. Thanks for hanging with me. These Target try-ons are so fun and starting to become a regular thing. I am trying to think of a clever name for my them that I can use every week or month. Please message or comment below if you have any good ideas.
