Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: How It Works

Preview of what will be on sale is available to everyone now! I’m putting together a few of my top picks so be sure to check back and I will update throughout the sale. Until then, here are a few dates and things to keep mind:

July 6th (today) anyone can preview the sale here. You can start selecting your favorites so you are ready at “go time”. Make a budget and stick to your plan. I like to restock beauty and a couple of go-to items that I buy throughout the year anyway. Might as well get them on sale, right? I think about gifts, the holidays and upcoming birthdays that I can knock off my list. This is also a good time to invest in a high quality staple item at a nice discount, if you are in the market. A great moto jacket, a pair of winter boots or a classic purse you will wear for years to come. That said, make a list of things you are looking for and stick to the list. There will be more sales, no need to lose your mind. Or your wallet.

Cardholders get early access based on status. If you are interested in becoming a cardmember, click here. Here are the early access dates for cardholders:

  • 7/12: Icon cardmember status can access the sale

  • 7/14 Ambassador cardmember status can access the sale

  • 7/16 Influencer cardmember status can access the sale

  • 7/28- Sale opens to the public which runs through August 8th

Things sell out fast and some get restocked. Others do not. So if you are unsure on sizing, buy both. Nordys has free shipping and returns. So easy.

If you are a cardmember you earn more when you shop:

  • 3 points per dollar spent with us on your Nordstrom credit card
    Ambassador and Icon status exclusive

  • 2 points per dollar spent with us on your Nordstrom credit card

  • 1 point per dollar everywhere else Visa® credit cards are accepted
    Nordstrom Visa credit card exclusive

A COUPLE MORE FUN FACTS…

You can earn a $20 note for every 2,000 points earned. If you are earning at 3-to-1 or 2-to-1 ratio this can add up quickly. Keep in mind that you do not need to use your card to shop the sale, but you can still get early access. Ah ha! They do not offer Nordstrom debit cards, but if you already have one, you are grandfathered in and can still earn points. Credit cards can get people in trouble, so do not open one if you are not able to budget. Nothing is a good deal if you don’t have the money.

This comes to the end of my disclaimers, enjoy the sale!
